Sunday Morning Modern

I’m choosing to take you on a subjective diversion this morning into the world of modern-day poetry and animation which are two art forms I’ve never highlighted before. But as I sit awake {as often I do at this hour} listening to the winds of both extreme weather and screen-shot-2016-10-09-at-4-08-20-ampolitical candidates it is a moment that requires extreme diversions as a counterpoint or, perhaps, simply getting lost in the “everyday” as poet Billy Collins offers in this 2012 TedX talk. During unsettling times I find that art in many forms can ground us in our in the beauty of humanity. Please enjoy this humorous and entertaining TED TALK here.

And if you are still hoping for an escape into the world of modern design get out to the Asheville Builder’s Parade of Homes today from 1 to 5pm. Again, we will be at 111 Carter Cove {shown below} with Red Tree Builders. To get there you will take a shuttle from the church on Beaverdam Rd where it meets Carter Cove. Cheers!111-careter-cove
