Sunday Morning Modern

Atomic Ranch’s House Hunting Tips | Our beloved Atomic Ranch national magazine just recently published an article on how to find a realtor to help you with your mid-century house hunting. Guess what? Asheville was featured, along with, images of one of our most recent sales shown above. Here is a snippet: When buying a mid-century home, it is rare that the home won’t have any problems. Mid-century homes have beautiful architecture and indoor elements, but sometimes with age, certain parts of the house can cause a few issues. “While knowing history and aesthetics are important, the agent should be able to help advise or have resources for helping clients deal with these items effectively and with respect to the architecture,” Troy and Kelly say. To enjoy the full article go here. Cheers!

Happy Labor Day

No matter who you call your family — Kelly and Troy of Modern Asheville Real Estate wish you and yours a fun and safe holiday. Cheers from us!

SOLD | Oakley New Build

On Friday we closed on this minimal, modern farmhouse as a pre-construction design/build package by our friends at Rural Modern, one of the builders we work with. The young, first time home buyers are excited about the warm and clean styling of this simple home. Rural Modern says they “build homes and interiors with a unique perspective.” You, also, know that we like to SELL them. Cheers to getting this one off the ground! Kelly and Troy

Buncombe County Real Estate Sales Overview

Hi Folks! Here is Keller Williams’s December 2016 recap of real estate sales in our area. As you can see the $100,000 to $300,000 is always strong with inventory clearing every 2 months. Overall, it is still a good time to sell with inventory remaining low and demand high for homes in Asheville. Give us a call if you would like more specific information. Cheers!screen-shot-2017-01-08-at-1-12-59-pm

The Faces of Preservation

Kelly and I were chosen to be representatives for the Preservation Society of Asheville & Buncombe County. Their yearly calendar acknowledges various img_6846people involved in local preservation efforts. As champions of mid-century and modern homes and buildings we were selected. Here we are pictured inside a well-preserved 1955 Bert King mid-century home in the Grove Park neighborhood. For more information and ways you can help go to psabc.org. Cheers and Happy Holidays!
