On Friday we closed on this minimal, modern farmhouse as a pre-construction design/build package by our friends at Rural Modern, one of the builders we work with. The young, first time home buyers are excited about the warm and clean styling of this simple home. Hi Folks! Here is Keller Williams’s December 2016 recap of real estate sales in our area. As you can see the $100,000 to $300,000 is always strong with inventory clearing every 2 months. The Faces of Preservation

Kelly and I were chosen to be representatives for the Preservation Society of Asheville & Buncombe County. Their yearly calendar acknowledges various img_6846people involved in local preservation efforts. As champions of mid-century and modern homes and buildings we were selected. Happy KW Anniversary to Us!

kw-anniversaryKelly and I have many anniversaries around our business and like to have options for positive celebration {Cocktails} thru the year. However, today marks our 3 Years of being with Keller Williams Professionals. {Yeah} Why is that important other than being a great partner for furthering our business, keeping us educated and providing a great network of helpful peers? At the 3 year mark we are fully vested in Keller Williams which means we are vested and will receive monthly profit-sharing for life. {Sweet} It is profit-sharing that sometimes pays for our overhead and gets us through the ebbs and flows of our industry. Thank you Keller Williams for being such a great partner.

Blue Ridge Pride 2016

Last year the event was sadly rained out, but as you see we were one of the few folks that tried to ride it out with our enthusiasm. Real Estate Market Overview | August 2016

Hi Folks! Courtesy of Keller Williams here is our sales overview for Buncombe County from August. First, check out that $125,000 to $175,000 price point with over 100% of those homes under contract. This is the most competitive range given first time home buyers and investors are competing for the same inventory. Buyers need to be ready to compete! There are still strong sales up to $600,000 with the biggest portion of that in the $200,000’s. Bargain hunting buyers check out the List/Sale Price and know there isn’t a whole lot of negotiating around Asheville. Our sellers are holding firm. For sellers in the million range know there is 40 months of inventory to sell through so your going to have to make yourself standout and be a little patient. Capturing a Modern Masterpiece

Bill MooreI had to post this photo that architect Tom Lawton captured of Kelly and I touring a circa 1974 Bill Moore designed home. Having both come from the entertainment industry the entire home played like a theatrical set with interesting and layered perspectives from every angle.
