From Modern Asheville Real Estate | Yeah! I don’t know about you, but we leave 2018 feeling incredibly grateful for a successful year. 2019 promises some welcome changes in our world in support of our team. Kelly and I couldn’t be more excited. Our gratitude includes our life partners, friends and Modern Asheville community. Have a safe and loving holiday tonight and, as always, surround yourselves with those you love. Cheers from us! Kelly and Troy
One of the many things that our team loves about living here in Asheville is the mountain spirit of individuality — supporting your right to be exactly who you are on our nurturing spot of earth. Kelly and I honor that through our work and supporting our varied client base and community. Every year we chose to donate money to a local organization that touches our hearts. This year we are very pleased to announce our support and donation to Tranzmission – an organization supporting those seeking gender affirmative support. May we all walk our own path so bravely and beautifully. Cheers! Kelly and Troy
We are pleased to bring this condo unit to the market place today. Great downtown Asheville turn-key investment offered with this cool, efficient and low maintenance condo in Rankin Press Lofts. Located in the heart of downtown just above coffee shops and restaurants this furnished condo is a ready to go investment as a short-term rental with great history. This loft style condo blends the best in historic and modern features mixing together brick walls and oak floors with stainless and concrete. The urban, industrial style home has 1 bedrooms, 1 bath and extra generous storage in basement.

SNOW DAY! If you are living in Asheville you already know it is a snow day here. While our typical winters see light snows that last around 24 hours we were treated to a beautiful winter wonderland worthy of a Bing Crosby tune. So, while you are romancing this day, if you are able, enjoy some inspirational mountain escapes both here and here and just a little more here. Wishing you a safe and cozy day tdaoy. Cheers!
Yeah! October was another great month. As we head toward the holidays know how grateful we are for our friends and clients who have made it another tremendous year for us here at Modern Asheville Real Estate. Cheers to you! Troy and Kelly
Hi Folks! It is a beautiful Fall day and you might just want to stroll by the Flea 4 Ya’ll out at Pisgah Brewing today and pick up some retro holiday decor and other cool things. Get the skinny HERE. Cheers!
Kelly and I had the privilege of touring this home twice during construction right up until completion, along with, Elihu and Michael of Siegman Associates. As always, their ability to design with the site in mind stood out. The house flowed with the contours of the site both taking advantage of views and creating private garden spaces to maximize the indoor/outdoor living that we treasure here in WNC.
Congrats to all the Designers, Builders and Craftspeople who won awards last night at the AHBA Awards Ceremony. There are lots of inspiring homes and work out there. Haven’t seen them yet? You still have this weekend for the Asheville Home Builder’s Association Parade of Homes. Get the skinny here. Cheers!
“Not-So-Utopian Futures: Solar & Climate Architecture of the 1950s”.
We are excited to share with you this great opportunity. What can we learn from cutting edge, sustainable mid-century modern architecture? On Thursday evening, November 1, AIA Asheville and CASE, present a lecture, “Not-So-Utopian Futures: Solar & Climate Architecture of the 1950s”. Networking and refreshments 5:00pm, lecture to begin at 6:00pm
The lecture, by Daniel A. Barber, will discuss how solar house heating methods and techniques of climatic design were essential aspects of the global architectural discussion in the period surrounding World War II. These “techno-cultural” developments produced novel designs that emphasized the role of architecture as a practice to present new ideas to connect the built environment with the natural environment.
