I found this article on realtor.com by Claudine Zap covering a few pointers for Mid-Century and Architectural home shoppers and owners. Many of these things we have discussed with our own clients whether they were owners wishing to sell or buyers looking at unique, pedigree homes. Also, it was fun to see some of our modern realtor partners across the states weigh in on the subject. To read the article go here. To peruse some mid-century homes in Asheville visit our Pinterest page here. Cheers!
Kelly and I are thrilled to announce the newest member of our growing team. Matt Allen joins us as a Buyer Specialist for Modern Asheville Real Estate. Matt will be assisting buyer’s in all aspects of transactions along with digging deeper into real estate law. Read below for a bit more on Matt. Cheers!
Matt’s years of experience as an attorney provide him with valuable insight and experience in negotiating the best possible outcome for his clients, including recognizing and understanding the niceties of legal and contractual aspects in real estate transactions. Matt first cultivated an interest in real estate while working as a summer intern at the Utah Association of Realtors, where he assisted in-house counsel with legal research on various real estate issues. At law school, Matt received the Outstanding Property Law Student Award for his graduating class, which was given to the student who received the highest grades in real estate and property law courses. After practicing law for two years in New York City and Long Island, Matt followed the girl of his dreams to Asheville in summer 2014 after she accepted a job offer as a clinical psychologist at a private outpatient practice. Within real estate, Matt has a particular focus working with buyers, and he prides himself on thoroughly understanding the process from start to finish, which he in turn imparts to his clients, giving them peace of mind that the transition into their new home will be a comfortable one. Matt is ecstatic about joining Modern Asheville and continuing to tirelessly work finding the best possible homes for his buyer clients.
In addition to being an avid movie buff, Matt enjoys reading, cooking, and playing tennis and the piano in his spare time. Matt also spent two years living in Japan in his early 20’s, and he still speaks the language conversationally.
Kelly and I paid a visit to our friends and clients, Jim and Linda, yesterday afternoon. They are in the middle of building their mountain home here in the Winding Ridge neighborhood just east of town. Having spent time searching for ways to make their own modern nest here without finding an existing home to meet their needs, they opted for building from scratch. So, we helped them purchase this gently sloped, 5 acre parcel with mountain views. The 3100 sq ft home under construction will be livable on one level with accessory spaces on the lower level — perfect for today’s buyers. Given Linda’s love for butterflies and the architecture of the roof they have crowned their future home Butterfly Hollow. We are so happy for them and love watching our clients dreams come to reality in making their modern home tailored just for them. Cheers Jim and Linda and thanks for the wine!
Here is our latest buyer client, Guillo, in his new downtown condo at 12 South Lexington. Kelly negotiated a great deal for him and I’ve never seen a happier client which makes us extremely happy as well. Congrats!
The downtown market is competitive given current low inventory. Give us a call if you are interested so we can keep you updated on what’s coming up.
