Our Asheville home market offers many housing options, but we don’t have everything at all times and currently inventory is low. Kelly and I are the tip of the iceberg to a larger team of resources to help you buy, remodel or build your tailored nest here in the mountains. Whether it’s scouting out the illusive architectural designed home, a retro ranch to remake or industrial loft or condo – we can help! Below are three properties currently on the market that Kelly and I feel offer potential to “Make Your Modern” lifestyle in the mountains. Want more? Ask us!
While I was at an art gathering, Kelly was hosting a loft tour of art for the Asheville Art Museum at the Rankin Press Lofts which were designed by Brian Cook of Glazer Architecture. Kelly’s clients, Mark and Kit Cramer, opened up their loft for the fundraising event. Kelly hosted over 140 people in both the Cramer’s loft and one other upper level unit with great views of the city and displaying a fashion exhibit. The Cramer’s loft featured their colorful photography collection plus some folk style painted rugs by Kit who is president of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce.
The lofts are created with a combination of concrete, wood, brick and metal giving the space a warm industrial feel. The countertops are made of concrete and include sand from the French Broad River. Solatubes are used to bring light into some of the lower units. All units offer various outdoor spaces. For more information on these lofts please give Kelly a call.

Hi Folks. You may think of me as the mid-century guy, but this home really speaks to both my creative architect side and my Indiana farm boy side. This architect designed, contemporary farmhouse is a great blend that offers a modern lifestyle with both rustic and industrial loft styling in rural context. I could live here. Kelly and I have toured it multiple times and love it. For our creative clients who want airy, art studios with chickens nearby – this is the one. Here is how the listing agent describes it – Architect’s contemporary farmhouse perched atop 3 open acres in picturesque Mars Hill w/southern views. From covered deck enter cozy studio w/Jotul stove & up glass lined staircase to kit, bedrooms, & baths. Gourmet kitchen has stainless counters & window over skin to take advantage of light and views. Wood, metal, beams, bolts and angles combine rustic w/contemporary. 2 huge workshops/garages flank either side. Great artist retreat or farm-w/chickens.
