Stellar Review for the Modern Asheville Team

Sweet! We love it when our clients and community honor us with their kind words. This one meant a lot to us as we truly do work to get to know our clients individually and match their style and taste no matter what it is. Cheers!

“Sometimes things don’t go according to plan in life. My husband and I were in the process of planning our build for our new modern home. We purchased the lot, we met with builders, architect and designers. We then came to the realization that perhaps this was just not for us. We had an endurance and financial limit. We worked with Modern Asheville Real Estate before in the purchase and selling of our previous home. The experience . was great and both Kelly and Troy made it a very easy process. So, we call on them to help find us a home that satisfied our tastes and lifestyle. We kept the faith that one day we would get “The Call”. The both understood who we were and with their grasp and knowledge of this market, we knew they would come through. THEY DID! We had the opportunity to view our home before ever hitting the MLS. It is so important to work with brokers that not only understand who you are, but also have the inside track to this hot market. Their years of experience, solid reputation with our Asheville community came through for us. Sometimes the disappointment of the best laid plans can lead to something far better. Thank you Modern Asheville!”

Before and After | Mid-Century

For all the years we’ve been in the business and watching cool properties we get to see a lot of diamonds in the rough. This one especially tugged at our hearts when we saw the 1965 vintage, mid-century home in North Asheville in its original and untouched condition. The home sits in the Kimberley Woods neighborhood — one of the many well located, mid-century and ranch home neighborhoods we have here in Asheville. Driving through last week we recently saw the updates and had to share. What do YOU think?

Paint Colors for Staging

As real estate agents with a visual sense we are always being asked about what to do in preparing a home for sale. While we do love light and neutral paint choices we are, also, big fans of grays and well curated pops of color for accenting key walls. The below recent article on houzz seems to capture a clean aesthetic while giving it some personality. Check it out. Cheers!
