Rustic Industrial meets Refined Luxury

IMG_0972Yesterday, Kelly and I had to stop and admire the details, not previously shown, of the unique home we have co-listed with broker Diane Vander Linden. The main house has walls, floors and decks of poured concrete with walls faced in rock. The house was constructed in 1946 by a structural engineer who built Civic 2bomb shelters. There are approximately 1600 square feet of covered cantilevered decks supported by 7″ x 12″ steel beams and beautifully chambered rails of formed concrete that are soft to the touch. All of this firmly and gently perched along the cascading trout stream. Imagine a Burnsville’s “Public Works” style version of Falling Waters or a mini version of the Asheville Civic Center.
